Mosque elevation in white marble and terracotta brick, with twin square minarets pierced by geometric Kufic calligraphy and a ribbed dome over the entrance porch

Institutional

Mathil Juma Masjid

Two square minarets rise clear of the prayer hall, their full height filled with a pierced screen of geometric Kufic calligraphy that runs right down to the ground. The elevation alternates white marble with terracotta brick, and the same gold screenwork returns as a tall panel beside the entrance and as roundels set into the face. A small ribbed dome marks the entrance porch, framed by a scalloped arch. At night the screens and the eaves are lit from within, so the calligraphy reads as light rather than relief.
